Wayne was also a good and helpful neighbor. We bought one of their lots at Woodsides Estates. We were young, with a youngster. We both worked full time. We would go there in the evenings and on the weekends. While Lori was in the sandbox and on the swings on the back of the lot Jeanie and I would be in the briars clearing the lot. Wayne would show up with his Ford tractor and wagon. When the blizzard hit on 1/25, 1978 we could not get out for 3 days. It finally stopped with blue skies, sunshine, and bitter cold. Here comes Wayne, on the tractor with snow blade attached. We are very sorry for your loss. We think of them often with fond memories. Jeanie and Ed Fischer, 2916 S State Road 135, Franklin, In 46132

I remember Wayne, Estelle, Larry, Dennis, and Lynn from Westfield about 1954-55. We lived just south of them and I would play with the three kids.

I have some good memories of Uncle Wayne and Aunt Estelle. We on occasion visited them on their farm in Westfield. I remember buying honey from them in 5 gallon metal cans. An especially fond memory was a surprise visit from them after I got married and our first children (twins) were born. They were on the way to Hattiesburg, MS to a WWII reunion. We were living in Quitman, MS. That would have been in 1976. It was so good to have an Uncle stop by in a far from home place to pay us a visit. One of my sons (one of the twins) now lives in Zionsville, IN not far from the Careys. My daughter Elizabeth experienced some good hospitality from Larry and Becky while visiting Raleigh on a job lead. I am honored to be a part of the same family. We pray for the peace of God to hover about you in this time of loss. David Deckard
