Karen Sue Moore

Karen Sue Moore, 57, of Indianapolis,

May 12, 2015. She was born in Muncie on August 30, 1957, the daughter of Eldon and Anna Stephenson Johnson.

Karen was a 1975 graduate of Delta High School in Muncie and graduated Ball State University in 1979. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. Since Karen's mother Anna, designed and sewed her wedding gown, Karen continued the tradition with designing and sewing her daughter Ashlee's wedding gown. Karen had a compassionate heart. Her gift of caring and hospitality was recognized through her service as a Stephen Minister. Karen's greatest joy in life was her family.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Errol Moore; daughters, Ashlee and her husband Donn Sherwood, and Brooke Moore; grandson, Brock Sherwood, and brother, Rex and his wife, Julie Johnson.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Marks United Methodist Church 4780 East 126th Street, Carmel, where Karen was an active member. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests in memory of Karen, donations may be given to the ALS Association of Indiana, 6525 E. 82nd Street #115, Indianapolis, IN 46250 or Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis, 1850 N. Arsenal Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46218.
