Victor "Vic" Seiter, Jr. Obituary

Victor C. Seiter, Jr., "Vic" 84, of Indianapolis, passed away July 1, 2022.  He was born January 14, 1938, in Indianapolis, son of Victor C. and Margaret Vyverberg Seiter.

Vic was a 1956 graduate of Shortridge High School. He continued his education at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston, majoring in Education and receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1960. Vic was in the ROTC program, led the Rifle team to championship titles, achieved the highest rank of "Distinguished Expert" in 3 Position Rifle, was named to the NCAA SoCon All Conference Team and played in the Citadel Marching band.

He was honored to play the piccolo and flute at 2 Presidential inaugurations in Washington DC for both Eisenhower and Kennedy. He served in the Charleston Police Department, then after returning to Indianapolis, Vic started and ran his own businesses, including the Custom House in Carmel, and the Bathtique in Glendale mall.  After retiring, he traveled throughout the Midwest selling gear for personal protection and absolutely loved it.

Vic served as a leader in Bible Study Fellowship to teach men interested in better knowing their Creator and Redeemer through Scripture, to experience the love, grace, and peace he personally enjoyed.

He was multifaceted, able to decorate homes as an interior designer for the annual Decorators Showhouse, and at the same time, excited to share his experiences and knowledge with people interested in learning how to shoot well.

Vic was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and Glock Sport Shooting Foundation.

Vic was a happy, patient, dedicated husband and father who loved spending time with his family at home or on trips all over the country.

In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Seiter.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alice J. Amos Seiter; son, Victor C. Seiter III (Maylin); daughter, Jennifer J. Seiter Uland (Bob); granddaughter, Elizabeth Uland Carpenter (Spencer); and grandson, Jacob Elijah Seiter.
