We are deeply saddened to announce that Thomas Alan (Tav) Van Natta passed away December 1, 2022. He was born March 31, 2005 in Indianapolis IN. Tav attended The Orchard School through the eighth grade and was a senior at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory High School.
He is survived by his parents, Alison and Bruce; siblings, Will Van Natta, Kate Van Natta, Lindsay Johnson (Adam), Megan Van Natta (Andrew) and Russell Van Natta (Tiffany); grandparents, Pam Keating, Kipp Koonce and Nora Van Natta. Tav is also survived by his very best friend Aidan Wade.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers,Thomas Keating and Ralph Van Natta.
Tav was a voracious student of history including ancient military battles and strategy. He had an expansive knowledge of business practice. He played lacrosse and recently made the wrestling team at Brebeuf. Tav was passionate about body building and recently broke the per pound bench press record at Brebeuf. He was a member of the National Honor Society.
Tav had an intense intellect. If you got into a debate with him on any given topic, you had better come prepared with facts. His siblings Will and Kate were particularly close with him and he served as a doting older brother to both.
We will always be left to wonder just how much Tav might have achieved, his life tragically being cut short so soon. We miss him terribly but hope that he is at peace.
There will be a private ceremony for immediate family only. There will also be a celebration of Tav’s life in early 2023.
