Susan Miller Obituary

Susan Beesley Miller, 78, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on Sunday.  She lived most of her life in Tulsa, OK and Roswell, GA, and moved to Carmel in 2017 to be near family.  She was a graduate of Broken Arrow High School, attended Stephens College, and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in elementary education from the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Tri Delta sorority.  

In a career spanning six decades, Susan taught grades 5 and 6, was a devoted mother, operated her own photography business, and participated in the family educational software business. She was very active in her community and was instrumental in the creation of Newtown Park in John’s Creek, GA.

She enjoyed tennis, fly fishing, bridge, cooking, and had a lifelong love for New York City, visiting many times throughout her life.  She loved TV detective shows and was an avid OU Sooners football fan. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Susan’s memory to donor's favorite charity.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur R. Beesley; mother, Pauline Vandever Beesley, and brother, Charles V. Beesley. 

Survivors include her husband of 52 years Daniel; sons, Jay and Josh, daughter in law, JiHyun; grandchildren Jack and Miah.
