Statia May (Cox) Massafaro, 63 of Greenfield, passed away peacefully May 31, 2024, in her hometown of Indianapolis, IN, where she was born September 10, 1960. She was a beloved mother, partner, grandmother, and sister.
Statia was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Frances Simmerman (Dukes/Cox), and granddaughter, Lorelai Smith.
Survivors include her devoted daughters, Moriah Massafaro (David) Zielinski, and Nicole Massafaro (Elijah) Smith, her loving partner of 10 years, David Fennimore; and her cherished siblings; Ron Cox, Becky Fisher, and Larry Cox.
Statia's life was filled with joy, especially when she was traveling with David or spending precious moments with her grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Zielinski, and Athena Smith.
Statia's family invites friends and loved ones to a public visitation at Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel, IN 46032, on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10am to 12pm.
A private service for close family members will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Statia’s memory to the American Lung Association (lung.org). Envelopes will also be available at the Funeral Home.
