Shirley A. (Jones) Bandstra

Shirley A. Bandstra, 80, of Portage, IN, passed away January 31, 2022. She was born October 13, 1941 in Danville, IL, to Fenard W. and Lillian M. (Ross) Jones.

After age 10, Shirley lived with and was raised by Russell and Florence (Demik) Ross, who became like parents. Shirley was an avid reader enjoying many different types of books.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors include her son; Richard Bandstra; daughter, Carla (David) Lee; 2 grandsons, Nathan Lee and Justin Lee; several nieces and nephews.

Family will gather for a Committal Service, Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:30 pm in Oak Ridge Cemetery, 1881 Thornton Lansing Road, IL, officiated by Rev. Josh Cristoffels.
