Sheila Harrell Obituary

Sheila A. Harrell, 73, of Monticello, IN passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.  She was born February 19, 1947 in Williams Port, IN, daughter of the late Charles D. and Norma J. (Wagner) Smith.

Sheila was a 1965 graduate of Fishers High School.  On March 6, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Ron Harrell in the Fishers United Methodist Church.

As a gifted and true artistic talent, Sheila created costumes, furniture coverings, woodworking projects, wedding dresses, afghans, decorations and more.  When a project was for her family, whether it be her kids, grandkids, or great-grand child, it was made with an extra special touch and lots of love.  Regardless, of who was on the receiving end, Sheila gave her best effort which could be seen in every stitch, sequin, nail, or fuzzy ball. The only way Sheila knew how to give was with complete care and compassion.

Put Sheila in the front of a boat with a box of night-crawlers, hooks, and sinkers, she would out-fish everyone in the boat combined. Take her back to the fish cleaning station, and again she would out-fillet everyone. Honestly and simply, there was nothing Sheila could not do, but more importantly, if it were for family, there was absolutely nothing she would not do!

Sheila will be greatly missed, and her memories cherished.

Survivors include her devoted husband, Ron Harrell; sons, Craig A. (Christa) Harrell and Gary D. (Stacia) Harrell; grandchildren; Tyler (MacKenzie) Harrell, Anthony L. (Tony) Harrell, Brittany A. Fleming, Jarin M. Harrell and Shea J. Harrell; great-granddaughter, Nora Kate Harrell; siblings, Charles “Butch” (Jennie) Smith, Lorreta J. McTaggert, Stephen (Anne) Smith, and Darrell Smith.

Burial will take place Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11 am in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
