Sheila M. (Smith) Balser

Sheila M. Balser, 68, of Lapel, passed away November 26, 2019, one day before her 69th birthday.  She was born in Anderson, IN, daughter of William R. and Virginia M. (Rowe) Smith.

Sheila was a 1968 graduate of Lapel High School. Memberships included the Lapel American Legion Auxiliary, Post 212, Lapel Eagle’s Post 4323 and the Ford Street United Methodist Church, Lapel.

The greatest joy for Sheila was spending time with her family.  She enjoyed working her flower garden as well as camping and boating.  Sheila loved to dance, be it rock n roll, country or any other style.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacinda Balser.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 50 years, Curtis Balser; son, A.J. (Amy) Balser; grandchildren, Delaney Balser and Leo Spacaj;son-in-law, Mark Spacaj.

A Committal Service will be held in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel, Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 3 pm followed by a Celebration of Life in The Eagles, 110 East 9th Street, Lapel.
