Sandra R. (Cory) Ryan

Sandra Rose Ryan (née Cory), 85, of Westfield, passed away peacefully September 18, 2024, in Westfield, IN. She was born April 2, 1939, in Lebanon, IN to Floyd and Bernice Cory.  Sandra lived a life characterized by her sassy spirit, unwavering determination, and a fierce independence that defined her every step.

Sandra attended Jackson High School and spent her professional life serving her community in various capacities — as a waitress, house cleaner, and pet sitter -— roles that allowed her to connect with many people and reflected her commitment and dedication to hard work. She married Forrest Ryan, with whom she shared countless memories and adventures.

Her personal interests included cheering for the Indiana Hoosiers, playing slot machines and visiting various casinos throughout Nevada, and indulging in shopping trips- activities that brought joy and excitement into her life. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW.

Sandra leaves behind a loving family, including her children; Todd Ryan and Jeff Cory; grandchildren, Amber, Jacob, Jared, and Jordan; four great-grandchildren; and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers.

A private service will be held for immediate family members.

Sandra's life was marked by her vibrant personality and her strong will, and she will be deeply missed by all who know her.
