Ruth H. Nolan

Ruth Nolan, 95, of Carmel, passed away June 28, 2020.  She was born October 1, 1924 in Dubuque, IA, daughter of Frank and Clara Hemming Rossmiller

Growing up as part of "Greatest Generation”, Ruth saw amazing accomplishments as well as tragedies around our world.

When Ruth met Thomas J. Nolan, they became engaged before Tom fought in WWII.  Soon after his return, they were married and started their family.

As a woman strong in her faith, Ruth counted her many blessings and considered her family one of the greatest blessings.

Ruth was truly a wonderful woman both inside and out.  Her smile was bright, cheerful, and contagious. Her hugs were warm, loving and welcomed.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Tom in 2003; and 7 brothers.

A life well lived and a generation later, Ruth is survived by her children, James T. (Susan) Nolan, Dennis Nolan, David P. (Carol) Nolan, Richard A. (Gail) Nolan and Nancy Lynn (Matt) Nolan-Bowe; 13 grandchildren; 24 and counting great-grandchildren.

The family honors Ruth’s life, as they sadly say goodbye from this earthly life, but know Heaven has been waiting to share miracles beyond human comprehension.
