Rose Haseman Obituary

Rose Mary (Nalitz) Haseman, 91, of Carmel, IN passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born April 27, 1932 in Dormont, PA to Frank Stanley and Mary (Annis) Nalitz.

Rose was active in the PTA during the years her children were in elementary school. She was also happy to volunteer in other school, church, and community events.  Rose shared fond memories of being involved and supporting Faith United Methodist Church in Downers Grove, IL along with husband, Jack and where she called home for more than 30 years.

One of the greatest joys in life for Rose was spending time with family. She was especially a proud grandmother whose favorite activity was playing cards and other games together. Over the years, Rose traveled many miles to attend her children’s and later her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was the best sideline “cheerleader”.

As an avid fan of several spectator sports, she was loyal to the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bulls, and College basketball---Go Illini!!

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jack Haseman; son, Thomas C. Haseman; brothers, Frank Stanley Nalitz, Jr., Edward Raymond Nalitz, William Thomas Nalitz; and sisters, Stella (Mehaffey) (Wawrzniak), Dorothy Ann Dix, Isabel Theresa McEnteer, and Lois (Dimmock) (Hoskin).

Survivors include her children, Mark W. (Barb) Haseman, Matthew G. (Deborah) Haseman, Lynn A. Haseman-Nelson, John R. (Diane) Haseman, and Kate (DuWayne) Haseman-Chapman; 14 grandchildren, Cathy, Laurie, Ryan, Erica, Kelly, Sarah, Tom, Jr, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Nicole, Rob, Becca, Anna, and Julie; and 18 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kyree, Kiana, Jack, Daniel, Zara, Xena, Casey, Mikey, Thomas, Nathan, June, Eli, Ben, Teddy, Chessa, Leona, and Rayden.
