Rosario (Rose) Mullins, 77, of Indianapolis, was called home to be with her Lord on September 30, 2024.
Rose was born October 24, 1946 to the late Adela and Jesus Babarano in Paranas, Samar in the Philippines. She moved to the United States in the 1960s and traveled along the West Coast, Hawaii, and Florida before putting down roots in Indianapolis, Indiana.
A faithful follower of Christ, Rose had a light and joy that reflected His love to all she encountered. She welcomed MISO Energy employees and guests every morning for nearly 20 years with a warm smile and encouraging words from the security desk. Rose was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church of Carmel, where she loved worshiping and learning alongside her son’s family and her family in Christ.
Rose was a compassionate, generous, and affectionate mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking nourishing and delicious meals for her family. Rose never forgot anyone’s birthday; she also had a knack for giving the perfect gifts. Rose delighted in tending her beautiful home garden which served as a serene backdrop to family gatherings and meaningful conversations.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Mullins, her former husband and father of her children, Jeffrey Scott Ferguson; and sister, Victoria Leanda.
Survivors include her brothers, Antonio and Segundo Babarano; three children, Jonah (Andrea) Ferguson, Jennifer (Ryan) Houdek and Sarah (Hagay) Fringero; and 14 precious grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in Trinity Baptist Church of Carmel on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 3:00 pm. with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 4:00 pm.
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.
