Roger Lamar Welty

Roger Welty, 69, of Avon, passed away January 29, 2025. He was born in Huntington, IN on November 5, 1955, son of the late Ray L. and Verna (Towne) Welty.

Following graduation from Avon High School, Roger continued his education at the Fort Wayne Business School. He was employed in customer service at Chase Bank for several years.

Since his early years, Roger was challenged by his handicap; however, he chose to live a fulfilled happy life. He enjoyed photography and learning the many aspects of taking pictures. Also, Roger had the opportunity to travel and in his spare time liked watching movies. He loved spending time with family.

Survivors include his brother, Tom Welty; and sister, Carmen Cordova.

A committal service will take place in West Park Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
