Robert E. Fillman

Robert E. Fillman, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away April 20, 2024. He was born in Donaldsonville, LA on December 27, 1951, the son of the late Jack M. and Alice F. (Hollub) Fillman.

As a graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, TX, Bob continued his education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree then at Oklahoma State University, where he earned his master’s degree in Mass Communication. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. As a TCU alumni of 1974, Bob remained faithful to Texas Christian University sports to the end.

Bob’s career was in Insurance as a Manager of Environmental Litigation and Supervisor of Liability. He was an avid reader as well as enjoying working out in the gym.

Bob loved to travel. He and Donna were privileged to visit Germany, UK, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Monaco, France, Spain, Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Jamacia, and Puerto Rico.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 31 years, Donna Davis Fillman; brother, Stephen D (Lee Ann) Fillman MD; niece, Ali (Aaron) Adams and their children, Lane and Haley; nephew, Matthew (Cassie) Fillman and their children, Jackson and Anna; cousins Vicki (Walt)Smith and family and Robbie (Ernie) Hook and family.

Bob was a kindhearted man beloved by his wife, brother and family, and his Farmers Insurance family. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
