Robert Allen Berry

Robert Allen Berry, 92, of Carmel, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born on November 29, 1932, in Burkesville, KY to John Robert Berry and Nina (Bertram) Berry.

As a young boy, Robert moved to Henry County, IN, with his family. He was a 1952 graduate of Cadiz High School, then attended Ball State University where he studied economics and history. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, then subsequently earned a master’s degree in education.

Robert married Venita Fae Pleasant on June 29, 1958. They were married for 48 years until her death in 2006. Both Robert and Venita taught in the New Castle School System for many years. Robert was also a custom home builder, building many homes in the New Castle area. He was also a real estate broker, owning Rose City Realty. Robert enjoyed travelling, with family road trips across the country to enjoy scenic and historical sites being one of his favorite annual goals. During their lives they were able to visit forty-eight states and Canada. They drove the length of Route 66 and participated in a Mustangs across America road trip with the Mustang Club of America.

Following retirement, Robert and Venita moved to Carmel, IN. One of their favorite past times in retirement was traveling to numerous locations around the state to participate in ballroom dancing events with a group of friends.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Venita Fae (Pleasant) Berry.

Survivors include his daughter, Brenda (Berry) Baier, and grandson, Mitchell Allen Baier, both of Westfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 1-3 pm in White Rock Fellowship, 21070 Schulley Road, Noblesville, IN, where the Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm.

Burial will take place in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 1 pm, with a brief grave side service.
