Patricia Fisher Obituary

Patricia (Pat) Fisher (Watkins), 84, of Fishers, was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, who passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026.  A gentle soul with a sincere heart, she spent her life giving more than she ever asked for in return. Her kindness was steady, her presence comforting, and her love unwavering.

Born on June 5, 1941, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Pat met the love of her life James (Jim) Fisher while attending a rival college, and their passion for teaching and engineering grew into a beautiful marriage of 57 years.  She was a woman defined by compassion, humility, and a deep devotion to the family and friends she cherished. Pat was an excellent cook of precious family recipes, an avid reader, and crocheter whose hands were rarely still — creating blankets, gifts, and keepsakes that wrapped others in the same warmth she carried in her spirit.  Her peculiar sense of humor, always unexpected and delightfully offbeat, brought laughter to even the most ordinary days.

Pat loved deeply and without hesitation—her family, her friends, and, quite uniquely, her frogs. Whether they were figurines, garden visitors, or little green symbols tucked into her home, they never failed to make her smile.

As a mother, Pat offered guidance without judgment and support without condition. As a grandmother, she brought joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging that made every visit feel like coming home. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued—whether through a thoughtful word, a quiet act of generosity, or simply by listening with her whole heart.

She is preceded in death by her mother (Ethel Watkins) and father (Charlie Watkins); devoted husband Jim, who passed away in October 2020.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Amanda Bahling (Jeff); her adored grandchildren, Dominick DeCollo and Micaela Bahling; sister, Bettie Martin: nephew, Troy Martin (Lori); beloved grandniece, Keegan Martin, and grandnephew, Jackson Martin.

Though Pat will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, sincerity, creativity, and humor will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A service honoring Pat will take place Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:30 am in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel.

Burial will follow in Summit Lawn cemetery.
