Marjory Ellen (Smith) Stafford

Marjory Ellen Stafford, 92, of Carmel, passed away February 28, 2020.  She was born June 16, 1927 in Terre Haute, IN, daughter of Revere and Esther (Thomas) Smith.

Marjory grew up near St. Mary of the Woods college where her mom worked in the campus bookstore and her dad worked at the dairy barn for more than 50 years. She was blessed to have grown up with loving, caring and attentive parents who would influence and impact her entire life.

When a student at Concannon High School, Marjory met Ralph, who became the love of her life and they were married August 14, 1946.  For more than 73 years, they were committed to one another and was an example of genuine love.

As a devoted wife and mother, Marjory loved spending time with family as well as church family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and was a gifted artist.  Even with failing health in her later years, Marjory remained kind and thoughtful to everyone she met.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph; her two sons Steve,Jody and their wives, along with numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
