Marjorie "Marge" Beach Obituary

Marjorie Anne Beach, 89, of Westfield, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born in Sterling, IL, to the late Vernon and Laura Meyer. She is survived by her children Sue Musnicki (Fred), Peggy Myers (Terry), Hank Beach (Leigh), grandchildren: Rachel (Chris), Parker (Emily), Brett, Spencer, Maddie (Alex), and Josie (Chris). She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Beach.

Marge grew up in Sterling, IL, where she met Phil Beach, and they were married in 1957. While married, Marge and Phil lived in Adams, MA; Northbrook, IL; Decatur, IL; and Westfield, IN. She graduated from Swedish American Hospital as an X-ray technician. She was a dedicated employee of Easter Seals in Decatur, IL, where she received the honor of having Dec. 22, 1995, declared as “Marge Beach Day” to commemorate her outstanding accomplishments and dedication. She was also a founding member and president of the Decatur P.E.O. chapter.

Marge was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was an excellent host and loved welcoming her friends and family. She loved the holidays and made every party, gathering, and celebration special. Whenever Marge hosted, everything was perfect—the decorations, the meals, and the gifts. Her themed parties were legendary. Most of all, she made everyone feel loved and at home.

She loved to knit, garden, golf, and was extremely creative. She was incredibly smart, and a voracious reader and was a devoted Christian.

Marge was fiercely loyal and devoted to her family. She never missed her children’s events. She attended every sporting event, graduation, performance, or awards ceremony. Affectionately known as “Meme,” her grandkids were incredibly important to her, and she loved spending time with them. She loved her siblings, June, Vada, and Butch, dearly. When her husband Phil spent extended time in the hospital, she never left his side. More than anything, she loved being surrounded by her family.

Marge will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
