Marian Lee St. Amand

Marian (Lee) St. Amand, 90, of Carmel, passed away March 5, 2020.  She was born June 23, 1929 in Detroit, MI, daughter of Adam and Cecilia (Dresden) Lee.

Through the years, Marian worked as a medical office manager; however, her devotion was to her husband Frank, to whom she was married 52 years. She also loved being the mother of her 5 children and later grandmother to her 13 grandchildren.

Marian had various hobbies and interests such as playing bridge, gourmet cooking, wine-tasting, watching classic movies, working puzzles as well as knitting and crocheting infant receiving blankets for charity.  She also enjoyed playing board games, needlepoint projects and most all crafts.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Frank St. Amand in 2007; son, Mark St. Amand in 2015; sister, Lillian Boike; brothers, Eugene Lee and Donald Lee.

Survivors include children, Michael (Susan) St. Amand, Jeffrey (Ann) St. Amand, Stephen (Virginia) St. Amand and Mary Lukins; grandchildren, Jessica, Thomas, Sarah, and Peter St. Amand, Megan (Harry) Miltebarger, Gregory St. Amand, Joseph St. Amand and Katherine St. Amand, Robin (BJ) Love, Shane(Laura) Hartgrave and Brett (Monique) Hartgrave, and CJ (Jamie) Lukins and Gabrielle St. Amand; 8 great-grandchildren, Harry Miltebarger IV, Tristen and Tinley Love, Elijah and Selah Hartgrave, Stella and Pippa Hartgrave, and Nathan Lukins; sister, Joanne Lemanski.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, of which Marian was a 40-year parishioner, and where the Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12 noon.

Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be given to the Merciful Help Center, 1045 W 146th St, Carmel, IN 46032.  Envelopes will be available at the service.
