Kimberly Yvonne Joyner, 63, of Plainfield, IN passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 7, 1960 in Anderson, IN to Alfrieda (Howard) Ogle and Kenneth Eugene Ogle.
Following her graduation from Highland High School in 1978, Kimberly attended Indiana Business College, then graduated from Anderson School of Practical Nursing. Kimberly was gifted in many areas and gained experience as a Candy Striper Volunteer at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson, Home Health Care, numerous long term Health Care facilities in Anderson and Kokomo including Anderson Health Care, Physician’s Weight Loss Clinic. Kimberly also worked as a Dispatcher for the Alexandria Police Department. Because of her giving heart, Kimberly volunteered as Chaplain of the Hendricks County Jail. Through the years, other employment was in Florists and Retail stores. During her years in Anderson, Kimberly was a volunteer coach for Madison Avenue Little League T-Ball team, the All Stars and Girls softball team, and True Believers in Christ Youth Ministry. While living in Kokomo, Kimberly was an active member of Bible Baptist Church. She volunteered at the Kokomo Boys and Girls Club and for We Care Kokomo. She also was actively involved as a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Kimberly desired a strong personal relationship with her Lord God and Savior.
Kimberly had a special interest in personal home décor, even selling Home Interior Décor at one time. Among many other interests, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, fishing/boating, landscaping, children, and pets.
Kimberly is survived by her mother, Alfrieda Howard Ogle; and a loving and devoted husband, Victor E. Joyner Jr. whom she married on December 21, 2006; six children, David (Christina) Ryan of Frankton, IN., Amy (Phil) Boner of Elwood, IN., Amber (Brad) Rowles of Anderson, IN., William (Hyllary) Thomas II of Mississippi, Jordan M. Ryan of Plainfield, IN, and Victor E. Joyner III of Atsugi, Japan; two sisters Brenda (Mark) Cuthbertson of Indpls, IN, and Cheryl (Tim) Short of Anderson, IN; 14 Grandchildren, Sadie Ryan, Jacob House, Heaven Ryan, Devin Ryan, Hunter Ryan, Savannah Holford, Emma Boner, Alexa Boner, Kelsey Villano, Triston Bybee, Brayden Rowles, Logan (Hunter) McNeil, Leighton Gilbert, and Lyllian Gilbert; four great-grandchildren, Skylan, Jameson, Avery, and Brintlee; and several nieces and nephews; eight special bonus children Ryan, Stephanie, Elias, Jaden, Amaya, Sanai, Alexa, and Jeremiah.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ogle, and a very special aunt, Mrs. Mary Buchanan.
Family and friends will gather at 10am on Friday, April 19, 2024 in CrossRoads Church, 19201 Grassy Branch Road, Westfield, IN 46074, where the Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11am.
A Committal Service will follow in Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46074.
