Kevin "Slevin" Lee Jones

Kevin L. Jones (Slevin), 35, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born February 23, 1989 in Indianapolis, IN to Rodney L. Jones and Katherine M. Grider.

Kevin worked in the organizational management field after completing almost all the coursework of a managerial accounting program. Kevin was talented in renovation design, where he completed several projects. During COVID he spent some time working as a stable hand and developed a fondness for horses. More recently, he worked from home doing CAD renderings for a local company. 

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his home with the company of his four-legged companions which included 5 dogs and 2 cats.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, riding and training horses and traveling, particularly out west. Kevin’s dream was to own land and start an animal rescue.

Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John F. Jones; maternal grandfather, Robert L. Grider; and grandparents, David and Norma Hajduch.

Survivors include his father, Rodney Jones and bonus mom, Amy Hajduch Jones; mother, Katherine M. Grider; bonus dad, Mitch Wikoff; paternal grandmother, Pauline Jones; maternal grandmother, Marsha K. Grider; siblings, Jeremy (Lesley) Jones, Eric Jones (Cory Boan), Sarah (Joshua) Clark; nephews, and niece, Anderson and Lexington Jones, Harrison and Remington Arthur, Easton and Lincoln Clark; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kevin died after struggling with challenges linked to an unspecified form of spectrum disorder including its treatment, side effects and self-treatment.

As a young man, Kevin found peace through his baptism in Christ. Kevin’s battle on this earth has ended but has now found peace in the loving arms of Jesus.
