Joyce Lain Brown Galbreath, 91, passed peacefully from this physical world on Friday, July 24,2020. She was born April 22, 1929 to the late Thomas L. Brown and Sarah Elizabeth (Bradley) Brown in Rossville, GA, where she attended Lakeview High School.
As the wife of a lawyer, judge, politician and all-around attention seeker, Joyce was the anchor of the family, often referred to as “a saint”. She was one tough lady, who loved her family fiercely.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, former Criminal Court of Appeals Judge, Charles Galbreath; two sons, Terry Lynn Galbreath and Charles Ford Galbreath II; one grandson, Major Christopher Tripp Zanetis; four brothers, John, Vick, Bud and Pete Brown and one sister, Laura Ellen Lippert.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra (Luke) Winder of Rossville, Ga., Sarah (John) Zanetis of Carmel, IN, and son, Michael Galbreath of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, David Simpson, Tracy Brown, Donna Johnson, Shelly Buskell, Terry Lynn Galbreath, II, Sarah Hastings and Ashley Britt Zanetis; sixteen great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; many, many nieces, nephews and her special lap dog, Charlie Lynn.
A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
