John Raymer Obituary

John M. Raymer, 83 of Camby, formerly of Westfield, IN, passed away October 6, 2021.  He was born July 25, 1938 in Union City, TN to the late Clovis and Vivian (Dixon) Raymer.

After high school John moved from TN to Chicago and met the love of his life, Judy.  While in Chicago John became a die-hard Cubs fan, never giving up on them.  He was able to celebrate the Cubs 2016 World Series Championship with his son, Pat.  John worked as a machinist at CEF Industries, in Addison, IL for more than 30 years. Upon retirement, John and Judy moved from their family home in Glendale Heights, IL to IN to be closer to their son and grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Dupras) Raymer; son, Michael Raymer; brothers, Robert Raymer and Fred Raymer; and sister, Dorothy (Raymer) Evans.

Survivors include his son, Patrick (Jana) Raymer of Monrovia; grandsons, Jacob and Samuel Raymer; sister, Sarah, (Raymer) Wade of McEwen, TN; brother, Dale (Vivian) Raymer of Columbia, TN; sister-in-law, Mary (George) Eiermann of Roselle, IL; along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 11 am - 1 pm for a visitation in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E. Greyhound Pass, Carmel, IN, with burial immediately following in Carmel Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
