Jerry Wayne Haskett

Jerry W. Haskett, 72, of Carmel, passed away August 7, 2020.  He was born April 9, 1948 in Noblesville, son of the late Loren and Emma Jane (Horton) Haskett.

Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Carmel High School and attended Ball State University. Before retiring, Jerry worked as a Manufacturer’s Rep for Home Furnishings.

Home and family were of greatest importance to Jerry. When Jamie and Katie were younger, he spent countless hours coaching their sports activities and teaching them life lessons.  He continued that commitment with his grandchildren supporting them in their activities.

Jerry appreciated reading about American and World history as well as keeping up on current events. He could spend hours working puzzles and be completely content. Jerry and Susan enjoyed their summer trips to MI where Jerry liked to fish.  Spending time with friends was important to Jerry and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife Susan (Smith) Haskett; son, Jamie (Erin) Haskett and daughter, Katie (Chris) Walker; grandchildren, Tyler, Tate, Grace, J.D. and Will; brother, Terry (Diane) Haskett; sisters, Marcia (Paul) DeSmet and Debra (Brad) May.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1 pm in Carmel United Methodist Church.  Service will be live streamed at https://carmelumc.org/.

A Family Committal Service will follow in Carmel Cemetery.
