Jeremy Dean Barnes

April 11, 1983 ~ May 4, 2021 (age 38)

Obituary

Jeremy Dean Barnes, 38, of Westfield, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021. He was born April 11, 1983 in Marion, IN to Dean R. and Toni L. (Craig) Barnes.

Following high school graduation, Jeremy received his BS from Purdue University and his MBA from Anderson University.

Jeremy was a Finance Manager with the United States Department of Defense and proud owner of The Home Team Real Estate Group.

Jeremy and Katie Sims were married December 1, 2019.

As a proud United States Army Veteran, Jeremy served with the 1st Calvary Division in Fort Hood, TX. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005.  Jeremy was very passionate about his "Little Army Brothers" and helping them transition back to civilian life.

Jeremy loved spoiling his niece and nephew with gifts and went out of his way to be the "Fun Uncle". He was so excited to be coaching his nephew's baseball team this spring. He was known for being the guy that would take the shirt off his back and give it to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Everyone that knows Jeremy, knew they could call him for help any time of day.

May God Rest His Soul.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George R. Barnes and maternal grandfather, James Craig.
