Jason Richard McGaw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the homegoing of Jason Richard McGaw, 44, of Chicago, IL who went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 29, 2021. He was born August 20,1977 in Rockford, IL, son of Richard and Vicki (Fonda) McGaw.

Jason studied Pre-Med and Accounting at Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, FL, received his A.A.S. in General Studies and C.A.C. in Accounting at Joliet Junior College, Joliet, IL, studied Engineering at State Technical College of Missouri, received his B.A. in Accounting and M.B.A. in Finance at Lewis University, Romeoville, IL.

In his childhood, Jason was full of personality and spunk and gave his family many fun stories to tell. As an adult, he was more reserved and quiet, but had a sense of humor about him that often brightened the spirits of those around him. His coworkers have given testimony that they were treated with kindness and humility and his sense of humor often cheered up their day. He was loyal and loving to his family and enjoyed showing that love with generous gifts. We could always depend on him to bring lots of specialty root beer to all the family gatherings. He was an amazing uncle to all his nieces and nephews and especially loved as Uncle J. We will greatly miss him but are so thankful that he placed his trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross and is now in the presence of our dear Savior. 

We are happy he is reunited with his dad and look forward to the day we can all be together again!

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Richard Colin McGaw.Survivors include his mother, Vicki Rae (Fonda) McGaw; sisters, Shauna Rae (McGaw) Yenger, and husband, Joe, Holly Renee (McGaw) Montgomery, and husband, Stephen; nephews and nieces, Benjamin Yenger, Bethany Yenger, Charity Yenger, Luke Yenger, Brynn Montgomery, Kaylee Montgomery, Grayson Montgomery.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am Monday, November 8, 2021 in Burge Terrace Baptist Church, 9345 Brookville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46239, where the Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 am.

A Committal Service will follow in Cicero Cemetery, 5 Morse Court, Cicero, IN 46034.
