Janet Elaine (Holloway) French, 70, of Westfield, passed away May 30, 2020. She was born October 4, 1949 in Kokomo, daughter of William Franklin and Jeannie (Petty) Holloway.
Janet was a 1967 graduate of Peru High School. Beginning at an early age, Janet learned a strong work ethic and was a hard worker. She took pride in completing a job and had a desire to continually be learning, growing, and being promoted. She was employed with General Motors for several years before retiring.
As a strong believer and follower of Christ, Janet would express her love for others with a generous, giving heart. She would lavish gifts on people, especially during Christmas, as she enjoyed giving beautifully wrapped presents to family and friends. Janet enjoyed spending time in her flower garden. She was creative and artistic and loved to design beautiful landscapes, arrange flowers, and create wreaths. Janet was gifted with a keen sense of decorating and drawing. She loved animals, particularly horses, so she would draw outstanding sketches of horses. The greatest joy in Janet’s life was how passionately she loved her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Holloway Lewis.
Survivors include her daughters, Stephenie Phillips (Paul) Turner, Tracy Phillips (Ben) Turner; son, Daniel French; grandchildren, Maggie Phillips, Avichayil Hummel, Asher Hummel, Eliana Hummel, and Caleb Hummel; brother, James Holloway.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2020 at 2 pm in Bussell Family Funerals, with a funeral service following at 3 pm.
