James “Jim” Ernest Fisher, 80, of Westfield, passed away October 31, 2020. He was born December 6, 1939 in Asheville, NC, son of Claude and June (Jarvis) Fisher.
Jim was a 1962 graduate of North Carolina State University, where he received his Engineering degree. He worked for Jack Harvey and Associates Alliance Marketing Group before retiring in 2005.
Having traveled worldwide, Jim experienced visiting Japan, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and all the United States. He was also privileged to take exotic trips to Hawaii, Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.
Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as feeding the birds and watching the squirrels run in the back yard. He was also a great golfer, having played on many courses in the United States and abroad.
The greatest joy in life for Jim was spending time with family.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia (Pat) Watkins Fisher; daughter, Amanda (Jeff) Bahling; grandson, Dominick J DeCollo; granddaughter, Micaela Bahling; sister-in-law, Bettie Martin; nephew, Troy (Lori) Martin; great-niece, Keegan Martin and great-nephew, Jackson Martin.
Visitation will take place Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10:30 am in Bussell Family Funerals with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery, Westfield.
