Surviving Jim are his wife, Cindy; daughter, Becky and her husband Brad August, and their three children; Holden August, 27, Phoebe August, 23, and Kian August, 20. Jim loved being a Popsy to his grandchildren.
Jim Hoppel was a quiet, unassuming man, kind, generous, hardworking, simple and a devoted man of integrity and honor. He had his rituals, was one of a kind, very much appreciated by his wife and kids, as well as his black standard poodles, Daisy, Molly, Rosie, and Ellie. Jim liked theatre, music, movies, his tv programs, the News, financial periodicals, visits from the kids, tennis, ping pong, and golf.
Jim (Popsy) loved deeply, was loved deeply in return, and will be greatly missed by his family.
As Jim requested, there will be no funeral service scheduled.
