Gordon Keith McCallister

Gordon Keith McCallister, 83, of Carmel, IN passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023. He was born December 3, 1939 in Hammond, IN, son of Eustace and Georgia (Pratt) McCallister.

Gordon was a graduate of Calumet High School. He worked in sales and was a founder of Harbor Graphics Screen Print Company before retiring in 2002.

Gordon was a US Marine veteran. He was actively involved in the Knights of Columbus. Gordon was blessed with the gift of friendship and relationship. He never met a stranger and attempted to find a way to connect with people and help them feel appreciated. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his 6 siblings, Bill McCallister, Mac McCallister, Bob McCallister, Marlene McCallister, Lee Prickett, and Twyla Prickett.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Ann (Barr) McCallister; children, Lisa (Sean) Marshall, Kelly (David) Ulfers, Stephanie (Nathan) Baltz, Joanna (Casey) Schutte; grandchildren, Gabriel Grant, Sophia Grant, George Schutte, Paul Schutte, Stella Schutte, Henry Schutte, Nicholas Ulfers, Quincy Baltz, Maya Baltz, and Gabriella Baltz; sisters-in-law, Angela (Steve) Morey and Debra Barr; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 4-7 pm in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where Gordon was a longtime member. The Rosary will begin at 6:30 pm.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
