Gloria D (Munguia) Krolow

Gloria D. Krolow, 84, of Carmel, IN passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. She was born March 13, 1939 in El Paso, TX daughter of Ernesto and Lorenza Romero Munguia.

Following her 1956 graduation from El Paso High School, Gloria attended Business College. On April 4, 1964, Gloria and Peter Krolow were married.

They lived in Germany before returning to El Paso, TX to raise their family. Gloria was privileged to retire at an early age having worked as a Life Insurance Agent. Prior to that, she was a receptionist.

Gloria and Peter moved back to Germany for many years before they settled down in Indiana to be near their daughter, son-in-law, and all the grand doggies. Her favorite was the recent grand-doggie, Zoie, who loved playing puppy paws and showing all her toys to gran-mama.

A good description of Gloria as stated by a cousin, “she was giving, kind, classy and an independent woman.”

Gloria loved spending time in the sunshine, saying “The light of the Lord is coming in.” She enjoyed shopping, traveling, appreciated flowers of any kind, and planting them in her yard. Another pleasure was watching soccer on TV.

While living in Germany, Gloria learned to cross-ski. She treasured her many friends and looked forward to their weekly morning “Coffee” meeting in each other’s home.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Peter Krolow; son, Peter Ernest Krolow; and her brothers and sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Danny) White; brother-in-law, Michael Krolow; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

Family and friends will gather at 1 pm Friday, March 15, 2024 in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel, where the Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm.

A Committal Service will follow in Carmel Cemetery.

In memory of Gloria, contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
