George L. Hedrick, 75 of Noblesville, passed away September 3, 2020 in his home surrounded by family. He was born November 15, 1944 in Indianapolis, son of George L. and Mary M. (Keller) Hedrick.
George attended Arsenal Technical High School and Lawrence Central High School. He worked as a truck driver for Barrett Industrial Supply before he medically retired in 1990.
In 1965, George married Linda Schmidt and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
George loved God, his family, and his country. He was a member of Noblesville Baptist church for 28 years where he faithfully served under the leadership of Pastor Parker. Most recently, George attended Trinity Baptist Church and was looking forward to serving there under the leadership of Pastor Minton.
When opportunity allowed, George loved to fish and always had a "story" about the one that got away! He also enjoyed reading western books and watching old western movies.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by a son, Geoff Hedrick; 2 sisters, Mary Rubush and Janet Turner.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Schmidt Hedrick; sons, Brad (Jennifer) Hedrick and Scott (Kelli) Hedrick; 6 grandchildren, Kasey, Jesse, Nick, Sam, Kayla and Tristan and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:30 am in Trinity Baptist Church, 1415 E 191st Street, Westfield, where the funeral service will follow at 11:30 am.
Burial will take place in Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville at 1:30 pm.
George’s Life Verse: Psalm 9:10 “And they that know thy name will put their trust in Thee for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
