Elizabeth "Sue" (Smith) Welty

We are sad to announce the passing of Elizabeth “Sue” (Smith) Welty, age 59, of Hendricks County, on March 23, 2023, as she was surrounded by her loved ones, following a battle with cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Welty; daughters, Bridget Odom and Nicole Welty; 3 granddaughters, Klaudia Martin, Kaylee Doerr, and Katelynn Downing; parents, Lee Smith and Pat (Leland) Lauman; sister, Julie Wiles; and brother, Nathan Smith; sister-in-law, Carmen Cordova; and brother-in-law, Roger Welty.

A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends Friday, April 14, 2023. In memory of Sue, flowers may be sent to West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
