Elizabeth Studebaker Hostetler, 94, of Westfield, passed away peacefully with family by her side, January 13, 2022. She was born in Paris, KY December 3, 1927, daughter of Floyd Estill and Abbie (Hall) McCord.
Libby spent most of her adult life in Kokomo, IN where she and her husband, Lewis A “Doc” Young raised their family.
Following Doc’s death, Libby married Paul Studebaker and they lived in Peru, IN until his death in 2002.
On May 29, 2009, Libby married Bob Hostetler and moved to AZ. They enjoyed their time in the west until Bob passed away in 2019. Libby then moved back to IN to be near her family.
On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Libby accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. That brings comfort knowing she is no longer in pain and is spending eternity with Jesus. Also, the assurance of knowing we will one day see her again.
Libby was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Estill McCord; mother, Abbie Lee (McCord) Hiley; sisters, Jean Davis, Jessie Basham and Mable Bailey; brother, Theodore McCord; and son-in-law, Ricky Matthews.
Survivors include her children; Larry Evans, Sue (Larry) Kennedy, Donna (Bob) Crawford, Sonja (Danny) Bray, Vickie (Richard) Knief and Cindy Matthews; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; and brother, Bruce McCord.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 12 pm in Trinity Baptist Church, 1415 E. 191st Street, Westfield, IN where the Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm. Libby's Funeral Service will be live-streamed via https://youtu.be/7fhVuKDb13w
Burial will take place at 10 am Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Albright Cemetery, 3910 S. Albright Road, Kokomo, IN 46902.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Libby, be given to Trinity Baptist Church-Missions, 1415 E. 191st Street, Westfield. Envelopes will be available at the service.
