Elizabeth Ann Hilfiker-Brooks
December 31, 1986 - April 26, 2023
Elizabeth lived an adventure-filled, brave, colorful, whirlwind, larger-than-life life. She was wonderfully loved and loved others wholeheartedly without judgement. She was proud to be the mother of her sons, Liam and Gunner, whom she loved fiercely, and they were certainly the joy of her life.
She had a special gift of recognizing the needs of those around her and fulfilling those needs. To some she was Elizabeth, to others Elle, Ellie, or Liz. No matter what friends called her, those who knew her counted her among their best friends. Each of these friends will tell you she was always up for an adventure and willingly share a ridiculous story about their time together. These stories speak to how bravely and imaginatively she faced everything that came her way in life.
In true Elizabeth fashion, she was the first to leave the party and start her next adventure. She was happy and smiling one moment, and in a split second, a blood clot took her face to face with her God. Now all who loved Elizabeth can look forward to seeing her in our dreams, telling us fantastical stories about what she is doing now, as Jesus chuckles at her not-completely-true tales.
Elizabeth added to life brightness, joy, laughter, and anticipation about what might come next. She had a heart of compassion with a good measure of concern for those around her. Now, many are left concerned about how we will love each day without her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Thomas; sons, Liam and Gunner; parents, John and Jeannie; siblings, Misti and Johnny; niece, Audrey; life-long friends, Erica and Krissy; large extended family; and countless friends.
