Edith (Edie) Ann (Price) Glomski, 85, of Carmel, IN, departed this world to be with our Lord on July 27, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family after a sudden, brief illness. She was born August 17, 1934 in Eau Claire, WI, daughter of Joseph and Ragna (Bandoli) Price. She and Robert (Bob) Dean Glomski were married May 15, 1954.
Edie devoted her life to the Lord, her family, and friends. Edie was very active in her church attending daily Mass and the weekly Cursillo group at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. She served the Lord as a member of the Resurrection Choir and as an Extraordinary Minister of Communion (to the sick). Edie volunteered at Carmel Saint Vincent Hospital for many years. She was very active in the community participating in T.O.P.S., bridge clubs, Bible Study groups, book clubs, and many other activities.
She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched; however, her memory will live on forever.
In addition to her parents, Edie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert Glomski.
Survivors include 4 siblings; 5 children, John (Sandra) Glomski, Karen Holtz, Dan (Julia) Glomski, Patricia Wallace, and Barbara Austin; 11 grandchildren, Tanja (Alfred), Jennifer (Erik), Nathan (Alexa), Stephanie, Kathryn, Stephen, Ryan (Emily), Nicole, Jenna, Mackenzie (Jordan), Jacob (Autumn); 11 great-grandchildren, Louis, Leon, Elenor, Elias, Samuel, Henlee, Camilla, Cash, Carter, Indie, and Ripley.
Family and friends will gather on August 5, 2020 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, where the Memorial Mass will be celebrated beginning at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Edith, may be given to the Merciful Help Center, 1045 W. 146th Street, Carmel, IN 46032. Envelopes will be available at the service.
A Committal Service will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire, WI at a later date.
