Donna (Harvey) Evans

Donna Evans, 86, of Duluth, GA, formerly of Carmel, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ken Evans; sons, Michael Evans (Jennifer Collins) and Mark Evans (Cindy); twin brother, Don Harvey (Linda).

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Warren Harvey and Juanita Harvey; brother, Dale Harvey; sister, Dee Henry.

Donna was a faithful wife and mother. She kept extra busy raising the boys while Ken was traveling. She was a faithful servant of Christ, her and Ken members of Carmel Friends Church for years. Donna worked alongside Ken at multiple businesses and missions. Their businesses included Ken’s Precision Products, a machine shop where she did bookkeeping/payroll and deliveries and Evans Lawn Equipment. She also served with Ken on the Associated Committee of Friends Indian Affairs and the Gideon’s auxiliary, volunteered at St Vincent’s hospital and on a mission trip to Haiti to Children’s Lifelines. She loved making many wonderful “Love Bundles” for the kids in Haiti, and was blessed to be able to make a trip down to pass them out to the children. Donna and Ken also sponsored children through Compassion International, including Marianne Valera who they had the opportunity to visit and attend her wedding in the Philippines.

She was also a serious fan of the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Donna enjoyed watching the birds and flowers and being with her family. In her youth, she was involved in the band, 4-H and National Honor Societies.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at The Bridge Church 1965 Evergreen Blvd Suite 200, Duluth, GA 30096.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 20, at 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Donna at 12 noon, in Carmel Friends Church, 651 W Main Street, Carmel, IN 46032.

Interment will follow at Carmel Cemetery.
