Donald "Don" Hall

Donald David Hall, 91, of Carmel, passed away December 15, 2023. He was born October 13, 1932, son of Fred and Hazel (Shyrock) Hall.

On November 30, 1956 Don and Norma Merrill were married and lived the example of a loving and committed marriage

Don was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Korean Conflict.  He was employed with Appel Heating & Air conditioning for several years before retiring in 1998.

Don had many interests and hobbies which included collecting vintage license plates, toy tractors and Indianapolis 500 race programs. 

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by brothers, Charles William Hall and Robert Thomas Hall.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 67 years, Norma Hall; children, Thomas Edward (Kim) Hall and Jolene “Jody” Kay (David) Griggs; grandchildren, Justin Thomas Hall, Jarred Michael Hall, and Brittany Nicole Griggs; great-grandchildren, Easton Thomas Hall and Wyatt James Hall.

Family and friends will gather Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:30 am in Carmel Friends Church, of which Don was a long-time member, and where the Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 pm.

Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery.
