Don Alan Morris

Don Alan Morris, 71, of Cicero, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born September 1, 1952 in Noblesville, IN the son of John and Betty J. (Beal) Morris.

During his early years, Don and his family attended Carmel Friends Church. Following graduation from Westfield High School in 1972, Don attended Vincennes University for 2 years, then completed his degree at Indiana University.

Don’s career included positions with Liberty Mutual Insurance in Fort Wayne, followed by time with Warsaw Insurance, and finally becoming Manager of Claims Division-Tort Law with the City of Chicago before retiring in 2015.

During summer months, Don enjoyed visiting farmer’s markets and buying his favorite Indiana sweet corn. Every year, he looked forward to attending the Indiana State fair as well as the Hamilton County fair. Don cared for his cat and spent time feeding and caring for the horses that were boarded on his farm. Life’s greatest joy was spending time, especially holidays, with family.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Jay Morrris; and great nephew, Hayden Watt.

Survivors include his brothers, Stan (Sharyn) Morris, Dick (Andrea) Morris, and Phil (Donna) Morris; aunt, Marcella Snyder; uncle, Alfred (Nancy) Beal; sister-in-law, Camilla Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 29, 2023 in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel. A Private Family Service will follow at 12 noon.
