Dolores Kathryn Krull (nee Finigan), 93, of Indianapolis, passed away June 28, 2024. Dee was born into a farming family in Waverly, Nebraska on March 7,1931. She spent most of her adult years in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but the lessons learned on the farm remained with her throughout her lifetime.
Dee attended the University of Nebraska and in 1956, she and Charles Krull were married in Lincoln, Nebraska. They began their family in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where they were blessed with daughters, Kelli, Teri, and Patti. Chuck ‘s career moved the family around the Midwest until settling in Fort Wayne.
Growing up in rural Nebraska did not dampen Dee’s willingness to tackle new projects in the new cities where she lived. She was a progressive woman, often worked a 2nd job in addition to her primary position as the receptionist at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Her favorite jobs were working as a tour bus guide for 20 years and selling the golf simulator program at Lakeside Golf Course long before it became popular. Dee also enjoyed collecting Toby mugs, reading biographies and spending time with her family.
Dee’s sense of humor was one of her greatest assets, which provided lots of laughs and was a wonderful way to deal with life’s ups and downs.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose Finigan; daughter, Patti Krull; and siblings, Georgia, Violet, and Robert.
Survivors include her daughters, Kelli (Mike) Syrigos and Teri (Ron) Lenz; grandchildren, Nick (Breanne), Jordan, Alex Syrigos, and Matt, Michael (Cassie) and Jack Lenz; great-grandchildren, Lennon, Theo, Scarlett, and George.
The Krull family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Forum at the Crossing for the exceptional care given to Dee over the last four years.
Family and friends will gather from 2:30 - 3:30 pm Sunday, August 11, 2024 in The Forum at the Crossing, 8505 Woodfield Crossing Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46240, where the Celebration of Life will begin at 3:30 pm.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity.
