Dolores Jean Holliday, 91, of Carmel, passed away August 18, 2020. She was born December 11, 1928 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Paul and Mary (Conley) Gray.
Dolores was a graduate of Carthage High School and Indiana Central Business College.
Before retiring in 1989, Dolores worked for Naval Avionics Center, Indianapolis for 30 years; during which time, she received outstanding awards for her commitment to the company.
Dolores enjoyed working with ceramics and created many beautiful pieces that are treasured by friends and family members. She liked camping, traveling, cross stitching and spending time in her flower garden. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because that was special time with family. Dolores was a faithful volunteer at Carmel St Vincent Hospital for a number of years and sang in the church choir for several years.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Holliday on July 12, 2012.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Holliday; son, Charles Holliday; grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Reynolds, Charlie Holliday, and Ana Holliday; brother, James (Melanie) Gray and sister, Jo Eakins.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 10 am in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 445 E 111th Street where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In memory of Dolores, contributions may be given to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the service.
