Obituary

Delmer William Bretzman (Del) passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 25, 2021 at the age of 84.

Del was born January 26, 1937 in Lakefield, MN to Delbert and Erna Bretzman. Del grew up on the family farm. He enjoyed taking care of the tame ducks and hauling hay; however, greatly disliked milking cows.

Del accepted Jesus as his Savior at an early age while in grade school.

After graduating from Lakefield High School, Del graduated from DeVry Technical Institute (Electronics) in Chicago in 1957. He then worked at Convair Aircraft in Fort Worth, TX and then at Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX.

While in Dallas, Del met and married his wonderful wife, Eddie Maxine Hebert of Port Arthur, TX. They were blessed with three children, Kimberly, David, and Daniel.

After earning a degree in Business, Del worked at Tektronix, Inc. for about 25 years in Houston, Dallas, and St. Paul, MN. He then worked at several Manufacturers Rep companies, which eventually brought him to Indianapolis, IN in 1998.

Del was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eunice Hohenstein; and one brother, Vernon Bretzman.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; three children Kimberly and David Bretzman of Indianapolis and Daniel Bretzman of Eagan, MN; one brother, Merlin Bretzman of Bloomington, MN; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Del was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, Indianapolis, IN.
