Darlene I. (Modlin) Mendenhall

Darlene Mendenhall, 74, of Mooresville, IN, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was born March 19, 1952, in Bonnie, IL to the late Fred and Lorene Modlin.

Darlene had a deep passion for horses and the western lifestyle. She was a member of both the International Barrel Racing Association (IBRA) and the National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA), where she enjoyed the sport of barrel racing and the friendships formed along the way. Her love for horses was evident to all who knew her, and she found great joy in spending time around them.

Darlene will be remembered for her kind spirit, her dedication to her family, and her love of the outdoors and animals. She leaves behind many who will cherish her memory and the simple, meaningful moments they shared with her.

Survivors include her daughters, Krystal Cecil and Sebrina Martin; grandchildren, Zachary Gerbick, Kayden Cecil, Jasmine Martin, and Derek Ahlf.
