Daniel Hugh Warner, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away May 8, 2022. He was born Jan 13, 1940 in Bayshore, NY, son of Oliver and Barbara (Horton) Warner.
Dan received his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford, and his Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.
Dan’s career included engineering at Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation, casualty property insurance at Travelers Insurance Company, engineering at both Ball Corporation, and Eli Lilly and Company. He also held a Registered Professional Engineer license. Dan was a member of Pi Tan Sigma Fraternity, an honorary member of the engineering fraternity, and the National and Indiana Society of Professional Engineers.
To mention a few of Dan’s many personal interests, he volunteered as a small business consultant, enjoyed tutoring in literacy, a subject required to complete a high school General Equivalency Degree (GED), as well as gardening and being an amateur photographer. Dan also served in the military for 6 years in the New York Army National Guard and Indiana US Army Reserve.
Dan is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Laura (Achenbach) Warner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10 am in the Village on Robin Run, 5354 W. 62nd Street, Indianapolis, 46268.
