Chris E. Pickett

Chris Edward Pickett, 71, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed on peacefully January 3, 2024. Chris was born July 30, 1952, in Lebanon, Indiana, the beloved son of Dorothy “Dotty” and Keith Johnson Pickett.

Kindness, a warm loving smile, friendliness, positivity, and gentleness are the words friends and loved ones mention when they think of Chris. He was a humble, faithful, lifelong man of God and loved his family dearly. Chris will be greatly missed.

Chris is survived by his mother, Dotty Pickett; sister, Pamela Pickett Romei; nephew, Michael Keith (Erin) Romei; great-niece, Everly; great-nephew, Ashton; Michael’s father, Steve Romei; uncle, Tom (Barbara) Pickett; cousins, Melanie (Rob) and Emma Yeates and Missy (Ralph) and Mia, Nolan, and Ella D’Agostino.

Chris is predeceased and reunited in Heaven with his father, Keith Pickett.

A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at Bayshore Guest Home and Gardens in Nokomis, Florida on Sunday, January 21 at 3 pm. Pastor Wes Bixby will preside.

Chris’s family thanks the wonderful caregivers, nurses, doctors, hospice staff, clergy, friends, and family who helped, prayed and were so good to him.

 A private burial will take place in Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, Indiana.
