Charles Edward Raymont

Charles Edward Raymont, 68, of Carmel, son of Richard and Betty (Gardner) Raymont was born December 31, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.

Chuck was a 1970 graduate of Arlington High School and continued his education at Indiana University, where he majored in physics. Most of his career was spent in IT, initially at Standard Life Insurance Company, followed by Indiana Bell, which later became Ameritech.

In 1976, Chuck married Ann Harrigan and together they had three children: Daniel (Colleen) Raymont, Jonathan “Max” (Megan) Raymont and Rebecca Raymont.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his first grandchild, Eli.

Survivors include Ann; children, Daniel (Colleen), Max (Megan) and Rebecca; 5 grandchildren, Carter, Staci, Olivia, Lola, and Sam; sisters, Kathy (Jim) Cook of Colorado and Janet (Paul) Arnone of Carmel; and brother, Steve (Denita) Raymont of Florida, as well as three nieces and five nephews.

Chuck enjoyed reading, sports, and most of all, spending time with family.  He was kind, funny, and endured a challenging disability without complaint. Chuck will be dearly missed.

Because Chuck supported a variety of charities, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to honor Chuck’s memory, consider a donation be given to their favorite charity.

Family and friends will gather at a later date for a Celebration of Life.
