Cathie Dianne (Osler) Reamer

Cathie Dianne Reamer, 77, of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. She was born August 5,1944 in Tipton, daughter of Paul and Elnora (Brunson) Osler.

Paul Osler eventually took a job in Indianapolis in 1957, moving to Carmel, and from that point on, Carmel became home. Graduating from Carmel High School in 1962, Cathie married and moved back to Carmel in 1973.

Like her father, work gave Cathie purpose. She began as an administrative assistant in the corporate world; however, her favorite jobs came later. Cathie was Administrative Assistant to former Carmel Mayor, Jane Reiman. She also served as Administrative Assistant to George Sweet during the development of The Village of West Clay. She was currently working part-time at CMC along with her boss, Richard Lambert, a job she really enjoyed, up to the time of her passing.

Cathie kept busy actively volunteering in the community. She served in various capacities with Carmel Clay Historical Society, as well as the Carmel Alumni Association. Cathie loved sports, primarily the Colts, but she also followed basketball, especially Carmel High School and Butler University.

Cathie had a trio of lunch and dinner social groups and loved keeping in touch with classmates and the many friends she made along the way.

Cathie was preceded in death by her father, Paul Osler in 2017.

Survivors include her son, Jim Reamer; mother, Elnora Osler (age 99); and brother, John Osler.

A Remembrance Gathering will take place Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2 pm in Carmel Christian Church-Fellowship Hall.
