Carmen Edilia Prato Silva, 82, de Caracas, Venezuela falleció el jueves 24 de noviembre de 2022. Nació el 4 de agosto de 1940 en Guasipati, Venezuela de Carlos Leon Prato Martinez y Edilia Antonia Silva de Padilla.

Carmen se graduó de Licenciado en Administración

Su hobby #1 era ver deportes, en especial el Tenis y su gran favorito, Roger Federer (disfrutaba verlo ganar, lamento su retiro y era capaz de seguir cada punto de un juego en su teléfono cuando no podía verlo en TV). También disfrutaba ver el futbol (no logro ver ningún juego de la Copa Mundial 2022), ver la Formula 1 y muchos más deportes. Le gustaba tejer, le hacia gorros, bufandas y cobijas a sus nietos. Hacia rompecabezas y jugaba cartas con sus nietos. También le gustaba la música y pasar tiempo entretenida con su celular.

Le precedieron en la muerte Francisco Conde, Carlos Leon Prato, Victor Padilla, Carlos Francisco Prato y su madre, Edilia Antonia Silva de Padilla

Le sobreviven su hija y yerno, Luisa Mercedes y Luis Alfredo. Sus nietos, Oriana Sofia, Gabriel Alejandro y Victoria Cecilia. Sus hermanos: Alcira, Edelmira, Norelsa, Aracelis, Belen, Gisela, Eleana, Carmen F., Leticia, Victor Alfonso, Carlos Arturo. Sus cuñados, cuñadas, sobrinos, sobrinas, primos, ahijados y demás familiares

Se llevará a cabo una misa de exequias el miércoles 14 de diciembre de 2022 a las 4:30 p. m. en la iglesia católica Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, Carmel, IN 46032.

Carmen Edilia Prato Silva, 82 of Caracas, Venezuela, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. She was born August 4, 1940 in Guasipati, Venezuela to Carlos Leon Prato Martinez and Edilia Antonia Silva de Padilla.

Carmen received her bachelor’s degree in administration. She retired from INAVI.

As a favorite hobby, Carmen enjoyed watching several different sports; however, tennis was her favorite, especially seeing Roger Federer win matches and feeling sad when he retired. Carmen could follow a tennis game point-by-point on her cell phone when she could not watch it on tv. She also enjoyed watching soccer (although she could not watch any game in the World Cup 2022), Formula 1 and many other sports. Other interests included knitting scarves, hats, and blankets for her grandchildren. She liked working puzzles, playing cards with grandchildren, and listening to music on her cell phone.

Carmen was preceded in death by Francisco Conde, Carlos Leon Prato, Victor Padilla, Carlos Francisco Prato, and her mother, Edilia Antonia Silva de Prato.

Survivors include her daughter, Luisa Mercedes and son-in-law, Luis Alfredo; grandchildren, Oriana Sofia, Gabriel Alejandro and Victoria Cecilia; siblings, Alcira, Edelmira, Norelsa, Aracelis, Belen, Gisela, Eleana, Carmen F., Leticia, Victor Alfonso, Carlos Arturo; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, godsons, goddaughters, and other family members.

A Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 4:30 pm in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, Carmel, IN 46032.
