Capitalina (Vlasov) Ghinciuc

In Loving Memory of Capitalina “Capa” Ghinciuc  October 29, 1939 – June 4, 2026

On June 4, 2026, we unexpectedly lost a beautiful soul, Capitalina “Capa” Ghinciuc. Capa was born in Yelansk Gorodishe, Sverdlovsk, Russia, to her parents, Marfa and Ivan. She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Capa found fulfillment in a life dedicated to serving others. She spent 50 years as a nurse. She began her career in infectious disease and concluded as a presidential government nurse. Her compassion, dedication, and care touched countless lives throughout her remarkable career.

In 2005, Capa joined Nadea and Vadim and came to the United States. She proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2011.

She enjoyed all aspects of life, especially spending time with family and friends, traveling to casinos, and playing crossword puzzles late into the evening with her daughter, Nadea. 

In addition to this, Capa enjoyed attending English lessons, playing bingo, and participating in Zumba and chair yoga with her friends at Park Regency. She treasured the friendships she built there and the many happy moments they shared together.

Music brought her great joy. She loved attending concerts, especially those of Eugen Doga, Julio Iglesias, Il Divo, and Demis Roussos. At home, classical music often filled the background, with Luciano Pavarotti among her favorite artists.

Walking was one of Capa’s daily pleasures. Whether strolling with friends in her Indiana community or walking along the ocean at sunrise, she found peace and happiness in every step.

Though Capa is no longer with us, her spirit remains. Let us honor her memory by living as she did—with positivity, gratitude, kindness, and a deep appreciation for each day.

Capa leaves behind her loving daughter, Nadea; her grandson, Vadim; Vadim’s wife, Lindsey; and Nadea’s beloved cat, George.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 1 pm in Bussell Family Funerals, 1621 E Greyhound Pass, Carmel, and where the Funeral Service will begin at 2 pm. Also, there will be a Celebration of Life at 3:30 pm in the Community Dining Room, Park Regency Apartments, 8851 Colby Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
